Cataract and retinopathy remain the preventable cause of blindness worldwide, many pharmacological strategies have been proposed for treatment these eye diseases. Animal models play an important role in understanding pathophysiological features disease developing a new therapy. In this study, we investigated development cataract retinal lesion with diabetes using obese type 2 diabetic SDT fatty rat. Macroscopic analysis eyes was performed from 16 to 24 weeks age histological at age. As result, lens cloudiness observed 19 degree more progressed until Histopathological findings, such as degeneration fiber shortening irregular arrangement cone rod tissue, were conclusion, rats may be useful understand pathological develop therapy disease.
